Freshly plastered living room brought to life with a quality painted finish

This Hinckley living room was ready for its final transformation after having the walls freshly plastered.

Pure Perfection Painters were recommended to the homeowner by Symmetry Flooring, who were involved with the flooring side of the project. Our role was to prepare the newly plastered walls, apply the correct paint system and complete the room with a high-quality finish.

Because the flooring was being replaced as part of the wider project, the decorating was planned around the flooring installation, allowing us to return afterwards and complete the skirting boards for a neat final finish.

Preparing the Fresh Plaster

With the walls newly plastered, preparation was particularly important.

We carefully prepared the surfaces before applying a mist coat to the fresh plaster. This provides the correct base for the subsequent coats and helps ensure the finished paintwork looks even and consistent.

Once the mist coat had dried, the walls were finished using Dulux premium paint, creating a clean and durable finish throughout the room.

Finishing the Room Around the New Flooring

Rather than rushing to complete every part of the room before the flooring was installed, we coordinated the final decorating work with the flooring installation.

Once the new floor was in place, we returned to complete the skirting boards.

This final stage made a noticeable difference to the finished room, giving the junction between the newly painted walls, skirting and flooring a clean and professional appearance.

The Finished Result

The finished living room now has a fresh, modern appearance, with the newly plastered walls transformed into a smooth, professionally painted finish.

By taking the time to prepare the plaster correctly and returning to complete the skirting boards after the flooring was installed, the room could be finished properly from top to bottom.
